Doug is the bass player in the legendary Canadian group LIGHTHOUSE

Doug is also a guitarist of some note. Actually, a few notes. Few being the operative word. After years of “gigging”; learning what not to play is the great achievement.  After setting the world record for most notes in a solo under two minutes in length and then having his pick ignite into a ball of flame,  spattering hordes of fans and admirers with molten plastic debris. It was time for the old musicians adage. “It’s what you leave out that counts” and “Does anyone know a good lawyer in this town”

Those of you that have followed Doug’s career now have a better understanding of why he changed his name to Edouardo Montoya and lived outside of the country for a few years in the late eighties.

Here is a rare photograph taken during those turbulent times.

It was on one of those remote world excursions that he met his future bride.  Seen here at her mountain top monkey reserve and coffee plantation.
